Friday September 17, 2010 Theme Thursday - Reveal

Oh dear, reveal....
To conceal?
Or to reveal it all...
That is the question?

Pandora opens her box
And spreads before you
Her treasures,
All soft and warm,
Beautiful colors,
Glitter, sparkle and shine
Laughter is heard......

The precious things
Are returned to her box,
Never to see the light of day,
Don't even ask.
They are hidden in a place
You will never look
Buried beneath your own heart.

I like this ... reveal and/or conceal, always a dilemma.

Off topic - or more specifically - unrelated to this (written) poem and pertaining to your (visual) desert poems - I went to your site. Beautiful work. Are you familiar with John Himmelfarb? (JohnHimmelfarb.com) Chicago-based artist, abstract, cityscapes as well as caligraphic works, painting and on paper. I think you would enjoy him.

beautiful poem,
a box is an excellent reveal tool.
a box on one's heart is another case.
perfect take!

I like the ending, about the place you'll never look (until you do, of course...)

Nice exposition of 'reveal'.

Yes. Where those thoughts and feelings belong. Quiet is good. So well said.

"They are hidden in a place
You will never look
Buried beneath your own heart." If the heart is heavy enough even a psychologist can't prise them out!

Dream catchers, aren't they? Revealed, concealed, hiding in plain sight or right beneath your own heart. Lovely Annell as always. Beautifully written. Thank you for sharing. Gay (@beachanny)
