Magpie #60

Rain drops Stuck on the Window Pane
Rain the water that sustains
Stuck on the window pane
Distorting the world
Makes it seem everything
Is out of focus

As the drops get heaver
They begin their journey
To the bottom of the pane
This might seem strange
But it's gravity you see.

So out of focus
In a race to the bottom
Rain drops
Stuck on the window pane

I finding it magical to look through the rain on my windsheild. Not the safest thing to do but just for a moment I try to see what I can from it and not what I know it to be.

I could lounge in bed on a rainy, gray morning and watch raindrops hit my window --- for hours.

While writing in NaNoWriMo, I had worked around this thought!

It was something like this.. once a soul gathers weight (of knowledge) it travels down to rest. It gets absorbed by the mud on which the car maybe racing. The window pane is the world, the droplets the soul..

Your words reminded me of that!!
Serene..

What child doesn't watch raindrops fall into bigger ones, and then glide down the pane. Great image, brings me back.

I love seeing the world through raindrops - fractured, showing different slant on life, different light - pulled by gravity.
