Sunday August 21, 2011 Still Life Revisited

Still Life Revisited/ Cups Stacked on Woven Blanket 22"x22" Gouache

The artist travels
Within her world
All the while
Searching for
What takes her breath away
Even when she cannot name it
She continues to search

What causes her to pause
Is exactly "it"

I love this perspective.

Gorgeous. I like the way the stripes of the blanket are echoed in the stripes of the cup handle and the shadows on the plant.

I, also, like this balanced composition.

Oh I love this one. Love the suggestion of the pieces out of sight. Wonderful.

So very pretty! I love your header photo... incredibly gorgeous country =)

I don't think I've had a barn entry from New Mexico... you're always welcome & we'd be honored!

Thank you so much for the comment you left on my blog, very much appreciated =)

Maybe you are lucky that you know when you have reached 'it'. It is like a poem and I do understand that!

Searching for searching.

Yes! The pause, this is it . . . for the poet too.

I love this painting. It surprises me that the white cup with blue works so well with the warm colors of the blanket, but it really does, gorgeously.
