February 5, 2014 Writer's Digest Prompt: Work/ Poets United Love

Studio Practice

I come to the studio
Each day
I set a goal
I work toward it
Sometimes I take
A breath
Try to calculate
Where I’ve been
Where I’m going
And where I hope
To be
Alone with my
Thoughts
Some would not
Consider it work
And often not much
Progress is made
But...
Because I am loyal
To my studio practice
A body of work
Is created

Love
Love is to look, with tenderness
Compassion for yourself and for others
To touch gently, caress
To think with joy, laugh
The heart problems, in our society
Are not too much love, but too little

Love every breath, you breath
The sunrise of morning
The newness of each day
Your daily work
Sunsets and darkness

Surround yourself, with gratitude
Allow your heart to break, with love’s fullness
Acknowledge love, in all things

A body of work is created. How wonderful. I need some of that perseverance.

Great self-motivation, Annell... and love, there really isn't enough of it.

It could not be said more beautifully.....love....till your heart breaks with the beauty of all things. Wonderful, my wise friend.

Can you post a finish piece of work? I'd love to see what they look like. The designs look so pretty and you must have so much patience as you repeat the patterns! That last paragraph is beautiful! Finding gratitude and acknowledging it is so important!
