November 24, 2014 Writers Digest 2014 November PAD Challenge/ I'll be Here

I’ll Be Here

i wait for you                                     wait to hear from you

like first woman                                            i wonder where you have gone

listen for your voice                          in the wind chimes

you are spirit                                                 the flame that flickers

i see you in the light                         when the sun rises over taos mountain

last light of day                                  glorious sunsets
                                                                        red, gold, & purple

i fly with the junkos, finches & jays             that gather seeds

i get the overview                             no longer close up

i read the signs in the shadows                   look for traces in the sand

accept with open heart                    it was the end of your journey home

i make a place for you                                  in what is left of my broken heart

now like smoke                                  you are memory

Incredibly beautiful, Annell. I love "you are spirit. The flame that flickers" and that you see him in the sun rising over Taos Mountain. So beautiful.
