The Things I Miss Most About You
Your smile.
Your voice.
Your kindness.
Your straight forwardness when asking a question.
Your special way of looking at the world.
The warm feeling I would get just thinking about you.
You were always someone to look forward to.
I don’t always remember the words we spoke, but I remember
how you made me feel, when you said, “Love you Mom.”

Beautiful, Annell. I can feel the chill and the pulling of the sweater closer.
Your words all come together to paint a picture of the season.
Beautiful.. your list is chillingly well done.
The first poem is a great list of the things that make autumn/fall such a special season; the second - well, those words would melt anyone's heart, and you'd never forget them.

tears annell...
and dont know much else what to say...
i'd give you a hug if i could...
My heart is with you. The poems are wonderfully sad. I hear your grief. Hugs to you.
Yes, it is those small things that make us miss a person the most. And there are no better words than "Love you, Mom." This was a tearjerker, Annell.
Love "morning cooler - portal to winter". Enjoy your style so much! And thanks for sharing the second list, so tender, so dear.... my hugs and love x
Came back and saw the list, below, of things you miss.......so heartwarming and heartrending, at one and the same time.
With the first poem it appears to be words falling as the leaves do in autumn...With you second one, it brought tears. My heart goes out to you.
I sometimes wonder about the space we leave between words, and how the pauses - the stitches, as it were, that weave a conversation - are the bare form from which we gather and build our sorrow when the silence is no longer a gap between two speakers but a call without echo or return. Thank you for adding your voice ~ M
Autumn makes me melancholy too ~ The listing of reasons touched me deeply ~

"Last Days of Autumn" really captured the season, and the form was quite groovy. "The Things I Miss Most About You" was a sad and well done piece.
Your lists have some interesting effect - the form supports it well....
I deleted my first comment because I made a lot of typos. :)
Anyway, regarding the first poem, I relate to feeling melancholy when winter shows up. Part of me enjoys it yet my body and mood seem to always rebel against it.
do you go into denial when winter comes?
