Thursday August 19, 2010 MAG 28

Out of sorts?
Take a soak,
Hard day?
Take a soak.

It is something we can
Do all by ourselves,
In fact, it is best,
Not to share the space.

It is the magic cure,
Nothing better,
Than a cool glass of water,
And a soak.

I wonder....for it seems
An impossibility,
In order to conserve,
Can we soak, in 1/2 cup?

Much as my story ended: time to take a moment for our own sanity's sake.

Not a good idea to share a bath if you want time to unwind!

OK, I am so wishing I had a tub and not a shower stall!

Wonderful images and I do agree, not to be shared, especially if one is seeking to relax. That's what makes that last question so difficult to even consider while stretched out in all that wonderful warm bubbly water.

i dunno, if the tub was big enough...it might be easier to conserve by just sharing with a special someone...smiles.

I'm with Brian. And Helen needs an outdoor tub and you need a bigger water tank! {:-)

Helen definitely needs a hot tub to soak in!
And if we're sharing we all need a slightly bigger bath tub! Double smiles

There is something so special in soaking in a bath especially after a hard day and I am selfish enough to want the peace and quiet to myself if I have had a hard day - but I am not sure of your meaning 'in 1/2 cut' - to me this is not about sharing as half cut to me means you have been imbibing more than water.

Something about that very basic act of being in water can restore us in so many ways.

Nothing like a soothing bath to ease away the cares of the day.

Annell, stopped by today to look at your blog. I read this poem and it made me smile. I think showers and baths stir my creative juices. I'm with you..how can I justify luxuriating in that water and yet I feel I need it. Also looked at the rest of your work. Fabulous. I love, love, love your artwork. So glad you shared and thanks for following me as well. Gay

Oh may I never give up wanting to soak with someone
but I get the beauty of soaking alone in quiet
But put me the column with Brian and Stafford

I doubt 1/2 cup would be enough for a really good soak! Delightfully said.

A solitary soak with the companionship of a book is a healing pleasure, in my opinion.

Such a lovely way to end the day and possibly with a glass of wine and a good book!
I'll let those who want to share their bath do so, for me it would have to be alone!!LOL

I need a FULL tub and a large one, if truth be told....I do love nice scented bath salts or oil and candles and soft music and time to linger without interruption
