SOMETIMES POETRY RHYMES
Sometimes poetry rhymes,
Poetry is made of lines,
Some short and some long,
Poetry takes the color from rainbows
Modifies it, and speaks of other things.
Poetry can dash ahead,
Or wait in ambush.
It is not limited to daily life,
But can speak of heart in hand,
In all matter of things.
Like the hills outside of Santa Fe,
In poetry we can see,
How like leopards they are,
Lying about on the desert floor,
Attending to the business of siesta,
Under a bright New Mexico Sun
They speak gurrrr....
The sound is echoed in
Yellows and purples.
Like a special lens,
Poetry helps to to see,
What is hidden
And what is right before us.

Beautiful clouds, rarely sees.
Greetings from Finland. Markku
I like how you play with the concept of words and of place and make them sing together.
Perfect last lines "What is hidden...and what is right before us" nice finish!
wow. gorgeous pictures...the poem was fun with a point...poetry does sneak up on you like that great cat, when you least expected, clawing your eyes wide open...nice one shot!
So Beautiful...
Sometimes poetry rhymes and sometime it doesn't, what really matters is that it comes from the heart.
Lovely poem and pictures.
thanks for sharing
Words and pictures as always keeping us tuned into your heart and mind and spirit as all of New Mexico becomes an autumnal phantasmagoria. Thanks for posting, my friend. Gay @beachanny
When it doesn't rhyme they just call it prose. (LOL!)
