Firecrackers
I thought at first, when
I saw the picture----
Of lovely Japanese fabric,
Madam Butterfly,
Temple bells,
Ladies lean together,
For Juicy local tales,
Only later, did I realize,
These were children's toys,
Popping bright in celebration,
One, Two, Three, Four,
It's a funny thing,
Loud noises sparkling bright,
Oooh and aaah are murmured,
in the night.
