Poets United Midweek Motif ~ World Snake Day
“Snake looks scary for us and we look scary for the snake!
Always try to see yourself from the eyes of others!”
― Mehmet Murat ildan |
Snake
Like a long string
Bites his own tail
And he comes round again
......and again
He becomes a circle
The world
The sun or the moon
He is a shell found on the beach
An apple, an orange
An eye he sees
A mouth he speaks
A children’s toy
A ball
A hula-hoop
He brings joy and laughter
The snake can be
Found in so many things
Bites his own tail
And he comes round again
....and again

Sweet, going for the unity of snake and life and Ouroboros! When The snake holds its own tail like a year does, poison is not an issue. Fun that the poem itself is circular!
the ouroboros...constantly recreating itself in that circle...it can be all things...as we can...to delight or otherwise...smiles...happy thursday annell...
I too love the circle..and the generosity you have afforded the snake..life is best lived and viewed like that xo
I LOVE this - that he becomes the world, the sun, the moon, a shell on the beach......such a beautiful poem.
Brilliant!
The cat has a rival to keep it company. No others can point to having more than one lives! Wonderful write annell!
