Time Enough
you say there will be time time for all
that is not my experience the phone rings you say
we cannot meet today the weather hangs overcast and grey
like the painting it will be grey grey as this day
the grey clouds seem to crush down on the blue mountains do you think
it is snowing there light and fluffy covering all that is wrong
ugly shabby and old
no there is not time enough to hold you tight to throw petals before your path
come and sit with me reveal all that is you and i will too
you set the date i put it on my calendar now you say
it doesn’t work for you i looked forward to this moment and you said
i was going to call… that is not it at all not what i meant to say
wait…. do you hear the sound mermaids singing in the desert
far from home no water here and yet they sing
if only we had time enough …and the world it would still not be enough
for time slides through my fingers drips on the snow
red against white will there be another day will it be the same
should i wait for you to call life is like that good intentions pave the way to hell
we all fall down the bell tolls the secret is revealed
there is not time enough it isn’t something you can hold nor reclaim

space and time rings lonely and lovely here
This is so poignant. We always tend to take time for granted don't we.. sigh..
Wow. This is amazing.
Such a yearning and tension here
Time flies and we lose more than we can capture... beautiful
