Searching for The Exact (Right) Word
Words gathered/ sorted /selected
Uttered (whispered) for the first time
Then said (spoken)
At last, shouted from the roof tops
A word scrubbed in lye (lie) soap
Turned wrong-side out
Laid in the sun all day
Kneeded until tender, a perfect fit
How else to express feelings (desires)
Where do words come from
A gurgling (singing) brook
Carried on the wind
Fall from white fluffy clouds like snow flakes
Or fall into dreams from shooting stars at night
Perhaps they come from the mouths of Bedouin
Traveling in the desert by camel
Or trading in the market
Heated by the hot summer sun
In frustration words are spoken (shouted)
They come from the throat of the bull frog
Sitting on a lily pad
Calling his lady-fair across the pond
From the whispered warning of the snake
Don’t step on me (tread lightly)
Or from the dog who barks his warning
