Christmas Comes Slowly/dVerse/early

Christmas Comes Slowly

I avoid what comes too early
Instead will wait for Christmas
A long wait indeed
But send my love for now

The sun never rises too early
Always just on time
I hate to be late myself
Hate to make the little ones wait

I don't know about your area but already the Christmas things are out and we haven't even had Halloween. A queasy mix of pumpkins and Santa Claus. This is a fun write.

Christmas is too early yet. Here, we still have our Halloween stuff and pumpkin.

Christmas is being sold earlier and earlier. No wonder thoughts of it arise earlier and earlier, not like the dawn though always on time.

As a principle, better to be 30 mins early than just 3 mins late. Just how bad being late is!

Enjoying the season early. That is what Christmas is about.

I love the sentiment of the opening lines, Annell, and agree wholeheartedly. There is much wisdom in the lines:
'The sun never rises too early
Always just on time',
and the waiting makes the anticipation so much sweeter!
Christmas is never late!

I like that last line about making the little ones wait.

Thanks Sanaa, I think I was thinking about how long it seemed for Christmas to come, when I was little...not it seems to come so much more often...the year passes in no time at all.
