How To Make a Poem
The lights are low
The lights on stage are bright
It is time to begin
You take your place
The lights are low
The lights on stage are bright
It is time to begin
You take your place
The buzzer sounds
You begin
Without knowing where the beginning is
You work on instinct alone
You begin
Without knowing where the beginning is
You work on instinct alone
You choose the letters
That make the words
To make ideas visible
Words with a special sound
That make the words
To make ideas visible
Words with a special sound
And meaning
It is what is behind the thought
That you are after
Words with a special strength
It is what is behind the thought
That you are after
Words with a special strength
To blow past-ideas from view
It is the spirit of the “thing” really
You work with speed
The speed of a “ten-mule team”
It is the spirit of the “thing” really
You work with speed
The speed of a “ten-mule team”
You drive to the finish line
And with a flourish
The work complete
And with a flourish
The work complete

Wordle 369 Note: I found no place for the word “raffle,” so I left it for you.

You could raffle off the completed poem to some lucky person! :)
I know the journey... we have the words... but to jigsaw them into sense is the real challenge.
Yes Annell, this is how it is, on a good day! But we all keep chipping away...
Thanks MMT! Good idea.
So you say, so you say!! Thanks Bjorn.
Yes, we do. Thanks Scottie.
Can anyone help me? Blogspot are no longer letting me know when there is a comment. Is there any way I can set it to let me know? They have sent me emails and I have responded, yes. But still no notification.
Sometimes the words come readily while there are days when we stuggle with ideas.. 💜
It is a good thing the words keep coming day after day. I am so grateful for that!
Arriving here like winning a raffle.
That might do?
I like the recipe : )

Very intriguing process! Made me smile really.
You can't always fit in all the wordle words when one or two may be inapproprate for your subject (or just wont fit!). The most important thing is to entertain the reader which as always you have done admirably.
Sanaa, it seems we always have the words, but do they go together? Thanks for your comment.
Yes, it is. Thanks Sherry.
Gee, Colonialist, what a sweet thing to say. Thanks so much.
Thanks Garon!
Thanks Mary.
Thanks for your comment, Old Egg.
Enjoyed reading, this sounds like an interesting challenge you all did.
I am grateful when they come....lately it's been a struggle.
Join us, Vicki, it is fun! Thanks for your comment.
Here is a thought, Ayala, poems come from silence. Thanbks for your comment.
You have drawn this poetic scene so cleverly, I found myself visualizing it. 'You work on instinct alone' - that is so true. Most of the time, I rarely know where the heck I am heading with my words, and where I will eventually end up.
Me too, Wendy. Thanks for your comment!
The word raffle was a challenge for me too, until I discovered another meaning, and was able to work it into my prose.
I certainly didn't know where I was going when I began writing my Wordle. In fact, I didn't like where my first one was headed, and started over and came up with something entirely different.
You did such a great job of describing what the writing process is like for many of us.
