A Holiday Greeting II
A little over the hill
She stands on the corner
With her cardboard sign
Life has not been gentle
Low light
Late afternoon
Snow is predicted
Where will she sleep
I offer what I have
And a holiday greeting
She returns a big smile

Sadly, too many people would have turned the other way, leaving the lady standing at the corner. Having been homeless for a period of time, during the warm spring month of June, I can't imagine, how I would survive the deathly of November or December, this year. Here's hope that more hearts are opened to those, who need a place to rest and heal.
