2017 November PAD Challenge Writer's Digest/An Old Woman with Pasties and a Red White and Blue Bikini/There Would Be No Luck That Day

An Old Woman with Pasties and a Red White and Blue Bikini/ There Would Be No Luck That Day

the day began                           cloudy & overcast                    the sun would not shine that day

we took the boat                      a pleasure ride                          you sat beside me

asking questions                       like an interrogation                 you had nothing to add

even leaned across me              to query your mother               was the answer right or was it a lie

you lost control                        blew your top                           raised your voice

as we walked                            on the crowded streets              …i remember seeing the girl

holding close the tiny kitten      that would soon die                 others things died that day
