SERENDIPITY/Waiting on Words Ladies in Waiting -- The image is a work of art by a 5th gr. 10 years, Dog

                                                        5thgr. 10 years, Dog

SERENDIPITY
I guess you think I look pretty proud of myself
Just like my dog
While searching for the answer
My skirts drag the floor
Through the dust
Taking names
Collecting DNA

It was serendipity
A fluke, you see
A happenstance
I had no idea
As I stumbled across the floor

A lucky break for me
My skirts drag through the dust
Taking names
Collecting DNA

Note:  Again today, I am combining the prompt from Ladies in Waiting, Serendipity.  And a work of art from Imaginary Gardens with Real Toads.

Love it Annell, and love the image as well. Yes dragging our minds through the dust of memory, collecting the DNA of odd moments, can and does bring deeper understanding and can feel like a break through.

That little pup seems so pleased with itself. Your poem left me wondering just what it was your skirt picked up amid the dust and DNA.

This is a great image, and I loved the repetition.

Fascinating images brought forth here Annell. Got me wondering.

it also had me wondering...there is lots of imagery in this... at my age I have a lot of memories to dust off.... :)

I am a bit lost by this one; guess I wanted more about the dog. But I supopose that is what dogs do too, in their own way – commune with the dust and collect DNA.

(Annell, did you know that if you click on your own poem title, and then copy and paste the link that will reveal, you will be able to link directly to this post rather than to your whole blog? It could be helpful for anyone who comes a bit late to read, saving them from having to go searching when they arrive at a later post on your blog. Also it would mean that your link in the list would not be highlighted until one had actually read the piece, avoiding the confusion I sometimes get into about exactly that – particularly as I can't possibly read everyone all in one go. I come back, and look at your link, thinking, "Did I or didn't I?" Only one way to find out, which can be a little, um, superfluous.)

I love that picture of the dog. Am intrigued by the long skirts picking up DNA and dust.

The little dog seems so happy... maybe we should learn from them and walk around collecting DNA

I don't want to say too much about this...that would ruin the instant and unalloyed joy i felt in reading it. :-)
