I did not mean to be too sad
Down in the dumps
Sad-sack
Late in the summer
After a heavy rain
A bright algae bloom
Appears on the surface
Comes in to the shore
Contemplating
Killing
Everything in sight

Yikes! I heard they can deplete the water of oxygen, which in turn can lead to the death of oxygen-dependent marine creatures.
