OWNER OF MY SOUL, ETC.ETC./ Imaginary Gardens with Real Toads

OWNER OF MY SOUL
TRUTH SPEAKER
MINER WHO DIGS DEEP
SAILOR OF MANY SEAS
EXPLORER OF DISTANT LANDS
SINGER OF SONGS
CHIEF COLOR MIXER
CHIEF POT WASHER
PROBLEM SOLVER
LEADER OF NONE
VISIONARY

You ask exactly what I do
I claim my space as my own
I tell the truth
I finding solutions
I look for alternatives
I sail to far away shores
I explore distant lands
I follow the path before me
I often take a path less traveled
I sing songs of love
I mix colors
I seek solutions
I wash paint pots
I work alone
I focus my eyes on the horizon
I can see the past and future
I am an woman
I am a painter grown old
I dream of you

I really love the effect of a good list, Annell, and here the last few lines are most resonant.

I love the truth of the list of descriptions, as well as the poem which gives us such a full glimpse of the artist at work.

A woman of many talents, Annell. Several things come to mind here. I feel that most if not all is you. My adventures could fit your list fairly well also, but definitely singing. I used to sing in a church choir and in a men's chorus. But when we moved to N.H. the director wanted us to audition. I missed the cut and have never sung in organized singing since.
