I Follow the "Light"/dVerse

I Follow the “Light”

I am a traveler
I follow the “light”
Of course, we cannot see “light”
But light allows us to see everything else

Artists have always come to Taos
Because of the “light”
The color is more intense
Goes beyond the eye

Touches the heart
Color welcomes us home
Color sets the mood
Color gives meaning

Color is changeable
Like water
It takes different forms
You may say

Yes, I have it just right
That is exactly what I want
Paint it down
And then paint the next color to it

It changes
We never experience color alone
It is always in relationship with other colors
I am a traveler
I follow the “light:

I follow the light too, and am enchanted by the play of light and shadow and the changing colours of land and sea. I imagine the light on the desert to be very beautiful. I see it in your photos. As an artist, you must have so many moments of enchantment.

I like this, especially the part about seeing everything else by the light. It is also nice how you go from general to particular.

Nice. We are all traveling in this mysterious voyage. Hope we all see the light.

I like this, Annell. Like you, I have read up some as to the properties of the spectrums and the various ways humans see color, generally having three receptors. Color blind folk only have two operational as do most other mammals. Some fowles have four and can "see" ultraviolet as do bees and some fish.
We liked Taos and spent quite a whole day there. Mostly in shops trying to find an art piece to bring home. We must have missed your spot. Our friends, the have a summer summer place there and spend a lot of wintertime up there skiing.

Dear Jim...next time you come, I show my work at the Winterowd Fine Art Gallery, 701 Canyon Rd., Santa Fe. If you do come again to Taos, call me, we will share a cup of coffee.

Hi Annell--Was this one for the invisible prompt? Your link on Mr. Linky was for your blog, not a post.
I like how you discuss light--all the general properties and then your own experience. I particularly like the last paragraph.
