Imaginary gardens with real toads

When traveling the roads, like many travelers, I dodge the potholes.   One must “do-si-do,” to avoid the holes, or your conveyance may be lost.  I have heard it has happened many times before.

I am told, it is the” freeze and thaw,” that causes the holes.  This winter has seen much snow.  Spring is expected and rain is predicted.

LOL. We often appear drunk around here due to the pot holes as well. I like this bit of humor. Thank you for posting to my prompt.

We get potholes here LIKE CRAZY, and sometimes the road crumbles right away thru the mountain pass. Yikes. Even scarier are sinkholes. On the sunshine coast, a huge sinkhole has opened up and a hundred homes in the village had to be evacuated.....horrifying. I enjoyed picturing your driver in the poem, I see her as a bit like Ms Magoo. Smiles.

We dodge potholes here, rabbits too. But they aren't due to freeze-thaw because we don't freeze. Houston has a pot-hole line and a por-hole app. The hole MUST be patched by the end of the first whole day after the hole was reported. Nice and new topic, Annell. Good Job.

As a Minnesotan, I am feeling this one...particularly so in the wake of the snowiest February ever. Thanks for sharing!

The streets of Houston cause "driving under the influence of potholes"... Love this!

Oh, I am rather glad that the traveler dodges those wretched potholes. I really like this scene of the early spring. :-)

Love the zig-zag driving in your haiku. Your haibun is one that promises spring (with an umbrella)- lol!

I cannot drive my little car now, the ruts and potholes are way too deep! Can tell you are familiar with the scene!

We don't have snow, but from time to time we do have potholes!~

While driving to dinner with my family, I rode right into a pothole--completely invisible in the dark. Fortunately, we and the car survived intact! I like way you capture the drivers' responses to potholes.
