Fly to the Moon/the sunday whirl -- poets united poets pantry

Fly to the Moon

Take a chance
Don’t be shy
Ride a shooting star
Fly to the moon

Don’t let a misstep mar your day
Be sly
Hide (if you have to)
Let it all pass on by

Stand apart from the fray
Barter for a better day
Give your wishes credence
Chart your course

Get out your crayons
Make some marks
The rhythm of your life
Is the cadence of your own heart

"The rhythm of your life is the cadence of your own heart." Beautiful, wise and true. I love this poem, my friend. Have a wonderful Sunday.

Sometimes the heart is out of cadence. Then what? (Devil's advocate here!)

My son, just this morning, reminded me that for all my life I have embraced change, taken risks. Never to forget that feeling.

Dear Helen, I think we have no choice. Change is inevitable. Thanks for your comment.

Get out your crayons? I think we all should do it every now and then.

I really like the idea that the rhythm of life is the cadence of your own heart. What better rhythm could one have really! And there is no better way to chart one's course than with crayons!!

Best fly to the Moon now (or whatever is your desire), as once you are dead you will be grounded...as it were!
